I am a passionate and dedicated mental health professional with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. I hold dual licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). My career journey has led me through a variety of settings, including my practicum and internship experiences at a Crisis Pregnancy Center, where is worked with expectant mothers with different anxiety and life experiences; and Union County Public Schools, where I worked with elementary and middle school students.
My clinical experience began with an Assertive Community Treatment Team, where I also collaborated with local Emergency Rooms to manage mental health crises. After two years in this fast-paced environment, I transitioned to an outpatient office setting, where I have spent the last three and a half years helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. I have had the privilege of working with clients across a broad spectrum of diagnoses, including schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and trauma. The majority of my work focuses on helping individuals cope with depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors.work with clients ranging from 13 years old to adults, utilizing a holistic approach to support their mental health and well-being. I pride myself on creating a safe and compassionate space for people to work through their challenges.
Outside of my professional life, I’m an animal lover and enjoy spending time with my three dogs, reading, crafting and being out doors with my husband. I was born and raised in Union County, North Carolina, and I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Wingate University. I was raised in a Southern Baptist family and fully still believe that a higher power is necessary in life.
